Speech-language therapist at St George’s Cancer Care Centre since 2016.

Lucy graduated from the University of Canterbury in Speech and Language Therapy in 2000 and went on to complete her Masters in Speech Science at The University of Auckland in 2011. Lucy has worked as a clinician and clinician educator in the fields of acquired swallowing and communication disorders across a range of health care settings.

Lucy is the Clinical Director of the Rose Rehabilitation Clinics at The University of Canterbury Rose Centre for Stroke Recovery and Research, and is a member of the New Zealand Speech-Language Therapists’ Association.

“It is a privilege to work in a team striving to better patient outcomes and improve quality of life. I am passionate about helping patients to eat and drink safely, and as comfortably as possible, during treatment and beyond, and communicate effectively in their everyday life.”
