Jenny graduated from the University of Auckland in 2005. She completed her specialist training in medical oncology at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2015. She went on to complete a two-year fellowship, specialising in gynae-oncology and melanoma at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. In 2017, Jenny returned to New Zealand with her family to take up a medical oncologist position at Christchurch Hospital.

Jenny has a strong interest in clinical trials and is the clinical lead for the medical oncology trials unit at Christchurch Hospital. She is an active participant of the Australia NZ Gynaecological Oncology Group cervical cancer tumour working group. She is also a member of Breast Cancer Trials, NZ Gynaecological Cancer Group, NZ Breast Cancer Special Interest Group and the NZ melanoma group, MelNet. She has published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals.
