Ann graduated with the NZ Diploma in Physiotherapy in Otago in 1988 and registered in 1989. She started working in the area of Lymphoedema in 2001 and completed a Level 1 ALA accredited course in 2002 and Level 2 in 2006.
She has been a member of the Australasian Lymphology Association Professional Development and Education committee from 2014-2019.
