Iain Ward
Radiation Oncologist (MB ChB, FRANZCR, FRACP)
Iain graduated in medicine in 1989, completed medical oncology training in 1998 and completed his radiation oncology training in Melbourne in 2001. He then spent two years subspecializing in cancers of the head and neck, gastrointestinal cancers and sarcomas at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada. He returned to New Zealand in 2003. In addition to treating cancers, he devotes time to supporting the development of cancer services in South East Asia and the Pacific, and he also has an interest in reducing the health effects of climate change.
